Also once this is in the e4 tools project you may want to convert your handlers to pure e4 contributions. Writing new stuff with the old API feels wrong to me. In case you are interested, let me and Simon Scholz (cc) know, we are happy to help here.

I don't have enough knowledge about e4 to change that quickly. So I'd be in favour of creating the CQ with this code, and open a bug to track move to the e4 handler mechanism.
Would it be possible?
