Re: [e4-dev] Questions on e4 state

Hy Eric,

thanks for your response, and thanks a lot for the overview on the state.
I am currently working on a research project, where I want to find the possibilities
and limitations of creating user documentation based on information within the
application model.

To this end, I scanned the application model and am currently categorizing these
for further processing. I am especially interested in the current situation and
upcoming evolvement of the model, as it poses the base for my work.

As you mentioned, the Opaque and Rendere items outlived their purpose, hence I could
not make sense of them which led to the question.

I find it sad, that the patches for MDialog and MWizard are going to be removed.
Is it just this specific solution which did not fit, or is the entire approach of
representing these elements within the application model going to be abandoned? It did not
come clear to me in the bugzilla link.

As the documentation, I want to create out of the application model, is targeted to fit to ISO 26514 (see http://standards.ieee.org/findstds/standard/26514-2010.html) I already identified some elements which are not represented within the
current application model - such as the missing Dialog and Wizards.

What interests me especially, is whether the „Cheatsheets“ as used in E3 are up for discussion
of inclusion into the application model. As they can be seen as the equivalent of
an ISO 26514 „Procedure“.

All the best,
Marco
