[e4-dev] BindingSystem not working in pure e4

Hi,

Looking into a report on the newsgroup. It looks like we have a major
regression in the binding system which is not initialized properly if
the compat layer is NOT included.

It looks like the processors contributed by org.eclipse.ui are
intializing the system but they are naturally not present in a pure e4
application.

We might not have discovered this because Kai's Contact Demo is dragging
in the compat stuff (Kai do you know why you are doing this?).

I've logged https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=340508 and we
should try to fix this ASAP.
