My apologies for not following up on this. I was hoping that someone with more background on the current search functionality would review the code and provide feedback, but failed to tell them that. :-/

I have filed CQ 4455 for the code contribution. Eclipse committers can access it through the portal.

Hi All,
 
This bugzilla is about the  contribution of NetWeaver Developer Studio Search Console to eclipse 4. SAP AG have contributed the code after talks with Boris Bokowski, Daniel Megert and some other folks.
 
I want to ask whether there’s some ongoing work with setting up an incubator project and sorting out eventual ip/legal challenges? 
Setting up the incubator project  becomes more important now as some other companies (no names for now) have also expressed their interest to work on the topic and a way to share the code is needed.
