Re: [e4-dev] Draft e4 July 2010 New & Noteworthy

There are two documents in total. One for e4 and one for the 4.0 SDK. For the other one, see the thread on e4-dev entitled "Updated 4.0 New & Noteworthy".

At the following link is an initial draft New & Noteworthy document for the e4 July 2010 release.

http://eclipse.org/e4/resources/draft/e4_whatsnew.html

This should include all interesting features in e4 that are new since the 0.9 release, and not included in the graduated Eclipse SDK 4.0. Currently it largely contains the New & Noteworthy entries from the e4 milestones over the past year.  Please let me know of any corrections, additions, etc.

Yves, in particular I would like your review of XWT, XWT Visual Designer, and e4 Workbench Visual Designer entries for correctness. I found all of the tooling related entries a bit confusing, so I have separated them into "XWT Tooling" and "e4 Workbench Tooling" sections. However in some cases I wasn't sure if an entry was related to XWT Visual Designer or e4 Workbench Visual Designer (or both). Please let me know if any of these entries are in the wrong section.

Eduard, if there is more detail you want to provide on Semantic File System, please send me new or updated text and screen shots.

Tom, I have a feeling some of your work on e4 tooling and examples isn't mentioned here, so please let me know if you see anything missing from your perspective.

Thanks all,

John
