I don't know if others are having this
problem, but 4.0 build I20100527-2121 is completely broken for me. There
were numerous errors on startup, and two perspective switchers (one of
which had NPE on click). Also all keybindings seem to be broken...

The 4.0 SDK is:
http://download.eclipse.org/e4/sdk/drops/I20100527-2121

This contains a fix for views not being rendered when you star up the SDK.
