I'm sorry to say that we've closed out DTP 1.0
(http://www.eclipse.org/datatools/pmc/endgame_plans/dtp_1.0/DTP%201.0%20Endgame%20Plan.htm)
this morning. Regarding the specific bugs you mention, for 167253, I was
able to install and use DTP 1.0 correctly using Ubuntu, and we are trying
to get confirmation of the problem from other MAC users in the DTP
community. (So far, 1 report, no repro.) Please also see additional
comments I have added to this item regarding specific prereq versions. For
167254, we will be looking into that and the last item going forward.
Once again, sorry about the timing, but we will be happy to continue to
work with you to get these items resolved as soon as possible and, if
necessary, and build/patch with any required fixes.

Given that the two bugs I have reported can be reproduced on linux, I
would like to petition that the following bugs be fixed before
releasing 1.0

167254 probably should be changed to blocking, but I would like to
verify the problem before changing the severity.
