[dsdp-tml-dev] Service Discovery

Hi,

During last week's TML meeting,  we were discussing about discovering network services running in non-standard ports and providing information about them before connecting.

The DSDP-TM project provides an extendable and independent framework that could be useful for TML. It includes an implementation of DNS-SD over UDP, and extra protocols and transports can be added using extension points.
If you want to evaluate this functionality, it's available in the  v2.0 releases of the Remote System Explorer and the Discovery package from  http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/downloads/index.php.
Once downloaded and installed, usage instructions and screenshots can be found as part as the RSE manual testing at http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/TM_Manual_Test_Plan#Discovery

Let me know if you need more information about it.

Regards,

Javier Montalvo OrĂºs
