Hi all,

I'm wondering what you think about

People have been wondering why the "Preferences > General

> Workspace > Default Encoding" switch doesn't apply to

RSE.

The remedy would be an API (or internal non-API, for now)

method to set the system-wide default encoding for RSE.

What would you think about such a method?

Please comment on bugzilla.
