Hi Gustavo,

did you manage to solve the API Report problem?

If not, do you have an estimate of when this could be finished? Is there any way we can help on this point?

Tks,
 Marcel

hi gorken,

there is some issue on the build in the part that generate the api report. i will try to find some time to take a look at it. probably it stopped working once i updated the build to use heilos

about the iplog, it is updated and i just added a PDF version of the release review to the CVS. i will send an email today to the foundation with all of that information.

once i have some time i will work on the api tool issue. in the worst case i will generate it manually and add it to the repository.

I have marked the unit test requirement as an exception. Corrected some of the links that were submitted incorrectly to the tracker. I think we are missing only the API report's link. Gustavo I have tried to find it on the last build but was not successful. Can you please send me the link.

By the way, I have checked the IPlog and it looks up-to date but I am not sure if someone already submitted it, unless someone indicates that it is already submitted I will submit the iplog later today.

Thanks, everyone for helping the last bits of release criteria ready.

Hi Gustavo,

Since it is already generated for the last build, could you please update the helios release tracker?

Hi Gorkem / Gustavo,

I'm sending below the updated status of the Helios requirements for MTJ.

We closed almost all the items in the list, and we assumed as correct the statements we put in the last email. Please, feel free to add comments/modify any of them.

The only items still opened are (2) and (9).

Gorkem/Gustavo,
can you please help us with them? We need them closed before May 19.

Tks,
 Marcel

1) Release review: OK

2) Api report
- Gustavo generated it with the build?

[gep]: it is generated with the build

- Small item: Gustavo/Diego, could you guys please help us with this?

[gep]: help with what?

3) Engage community: OK
4) Usability guidelines: OK
5) Measurable performance: OK
6) Use Babel PTT: OK
7) Enable use with all languages: OK
8) Accessibility: OK

9) Unit tests
- Do you have any already implemented?
If not, can you guys provide some simple implementation?
This is a must have item and we believe that you can provide one much faster than we can right now.

[gep]: we don't have any automated unit test and there was no contributions in that direction from anyone. so i believe that the way is to raise and exception.

10) API policy: OK
11) Retention policy: OK
12) Project metrics: OK

* Build: OK
* Releng contact: OK

Updating itens 6 and 7:

Hi guys,

We are checking the status of the Helios Requirements and this is a suggested planning for the still open items:

1) Release review
- Should be ok, but need to update the Executive Summary for 1.1
- Small item: Gorkem, could you please help us with this?

2) Api report
- Gustavo generated it with the build?
- Small item: Gustavo/Diego, could you guys please help us with this?

3) Engage community
- Write "New & noteworthy" for 1.1 [What needs to be added here?]
- Small/medium item: can you guys provide us with the new features in 1.1 release? (we can update the tracker)

4) Usability guidelines
- It should be ok since we are compliant with this (from previous releases)
- Do you agree?

5) Measurable performance
- [There are commercial products using MTJ and they provide the feedback needed]
- Do you agree?

6) Use Babel PTT
- Pseudo translation being generated and will be tested
Tested and approved. I'll update the tracker.

7) Enable use with all languages
- Since all strings are confirmed to be externalized, it should be ok
All strings I found were externalized, so this item is also ok. I'll update the tracker.

8) Accessibility
- [We are compliant with this]
- Do you agree?

9) Unit tests
- Do you have any already implemented?
If not, can you guys provide some simple implementation?
This is a must have item and we believe that you can provide one much faster than we can right now.

10) API policy
Can we use the same as Sequoyah? (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Sequoyah/API_policy)

11) Retention policy
Can we use the same as Sequoyah? (http://www.eclipse.org/sequoyah/retention_policy/)

12) Project metrics
- It should be like this: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Sequoyah/ProjectMetrics.
The actual information is the API report, but it was for the 1.0.1 release.
- Medium item: we can update this using the same model from Sequoyah
- Do you have any idea on the number of code lines?

* Build
- Use releng package address? Is there a build guide? (http://wiki.eclipse.org/Sequoyah/Build_Guide)

* Releng contact
- Backup = Diego/Pastore?

If we have your help on items 2 and 9, we believe we can have all the requirements done until the end of this week, in the best case.
