Re: [dsdp-mtj-dev] Next Conference Call: Thursday 25-September-2008

(Trying to get caught up on MTJ stuff...)

Reading the meeting minutes from the last call, I see the following:

"After joining the train, Galileo specific features will be used (notable new JDT preprocessor) and therefore MTJ will only work with Galileo. "

It seems like it would be a good idea to continue to support older versions of Eclipse if/when possible. With that said, I can see cases to allow certain functions to work on older versions while other features (preprocessing in this case) only work on newer versions. I believe that is the approach of some of the plugins such as the Annotation processing stuff.

Hi All,

I've just updated the wiki
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/DSDP/MTJ/Phone_Meeting_25-September-2008) with
the meeting minutes. Feel free to add anything I may have forgot.

I'll work on a 0.9.1 plan proposal and open the remaining bugs for this
version.

Regards,
Hugo

Did anyone take notes of this call? I'd like to see the discussion
since I was unable to attend. I don't see anything in the wiki re: this
meeting.

Thanks,
Craig

Hi All,

I would like to propose another item for the agenda:

* Remove inactive committers: Arto Laurila and Kevin Horowitz
As they are not participating since Eclipse reboot and some matters
(such as elections) are handled quicker if all committers participate,

I would like to propose to remove their committer stutas from MTJ.

Hi,

I just updated the agenda with some items to discuss. Beside that i
wrote on the wiki a list of the possible planning options the we have
after 0.9 release (http://wiki.eclipse.org/DSDP/MTJ/Post_0.9).

It would be nice if all committers can review the possible plans to
prepare for the meeting. Our goal is to close the option that we
should follow during the call (also feel free to update and/or add
other planning options).

25-September-2008

Hello Everyone,

Time flies when everyone is busy!

I'm very excited about all the progress the project is making, and we
got some very nice coverage by Doug in the Eclipse Board Meeting.

The upcoming Release Review is truely a huge milestone in the history
of the project, and naturally we're all busy and focussed on this.

Still - the we should take a few moments and try to get back on a
monthly conference call rhythm.
Now that we have very active participation from China, it will become
a bit more challenging to find "convenient" times to set up a call.

For the next call, I propose a time where China gets to start the day
early, and Brazil can do the call after dinner.
Let's see how this works, we can rotate for next time, and make Brazil

get up early... ;)
*** I also added CHINA toll-free dial-in numbers to the conference
bridge. **

*For details, time, dial-in, see:

I hope all the Committers can attend this call, but the invitation is
also open to anyone else interested in the current status of MTJ, the
upcoming release, and future plans.

One big item on the agenda is the "post 0.9" plans for joining the
train

and working on the 1.0 release.

Please feel free to add more items to the agenda on the Wiki page
shown above.

I look forward to talking to everyone next week!

-Christian
