It is used purely for OTA provisioning.... The current implementation hooks in to Jetty one level below their servlet support.

It seems to mainly affect the capability to extend the Jetty HttpServlet class.
Are we doing this?

I'm not sure if we need to implement our own Servlet, or the code currently just uses Jetty as a plain old web-server (which I suspect is the case).
