Perhaps it was accidentally pulled in
because it is similarly named to platform-launcher.  As far as I know,
it is not used.

We seem to have a org.eclipse.platform project in
our CVS. I could not 
figure out what it is used for. Does anyone remember the story behind it.

Would anyone miss it If I remove it ?
