My previous email wasn't clear.  I mean do I need to have developed from a plugin perspective instead of a stand alone eswt application.

Cool.  Thanks Danail.  I just did a quick pass through of the article.  Is it possible to do updates to a stand alone app or is the update functionality only for plugins/features that will run in Eclipse?

Hi, John

Here is a tutorial for Eclipse Update component:

http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-Update/keeping-up-to-date.html

This should get you started. The core of eRCP eUpdate is shared between
with Eclipse Update (some minor tweaks are applied). The GUI is however
rewritten to suit the mobile needs, but it should be intuitive to use
once you know the basics.
