I had a look at the OutOfMemory exception and opened Bug262680 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=262680). There's also a patch that seems to do the job.

However, the real kings for that area are Ted and Randy. They should come up with the "final solution" :-)
