Re: [Dltk-dev] Photon API breakage

I like eclipse-current only build, it open ability use new APIs when become available.

We did same for PDT since Photon, but we prepare feature (minor) releases for *.1 - *.3 and major (cleanup, API breakage) for *.0.

Hi,

platform team moved org.eclipse.ltk.internal.core.refactoring.Resources into org.eclipse.ltk.core.refactoring.resource.Resources.

This class is used by dltk.core.manipulation bundle. Somebody have idea how to keep compatibility with Oxygen without copy’ing this tool into DLTK?

With the overall move to single stream and no maintenance releases that platform is taking it't time for DLTK to do the same IMHO. Thus making DLTK next release require Photon seem the correct thing to do. Especially considering that the next minor release will be in September and there won't be any maintenance releases for Photon.
What do others think?
