Re: [Dltk-dev] Tcl profiling

Hi Andrey,

Project tcllib comes with a simple profiler (http://tcllib.sourceforge.net/doc/profiler.html ) that might might be a good start. It gives basic information that might well be wrapped inside DLTK.

Thanks for your answer and keep up the good work!

Hi Philippe,

Unfortunately no plans on this at least in short term. For TCL, DLTK is using ActiveState's tools for debugging. Profiling is related problem of "controlled execution" and we did not have any support for this topic within DLTK. So if we'll have a chance to dive into TCL execution area, you may expect DLTK's debugging and profiling tools, but again no such plans at the moment. Alternatively, if you know any open source or commercial TCL profiling tool, we can evaluate support of this tool within DLTK.

Thank you very much, and
Kind Regards,
Andrey

Subject: [Dltk-dev] Tcl profiling

Hi,

Is there any plan in the short term to provide profiling tools (TPTP) on
Tcl projects created through Dynamic Languages Toolkit?

Best regards,
Phil
