Re: [Dltk-dev] Hello

Hi Clemens. I prefer keeping in touch with the latest updates. I started to do this after I had trouble and the dev version solved it.

Hi, I'm Renato.

Is here a good place to keep in touch with DLTK developers? I have a few questions.

1) I'm using the following repo in Ganymede, because the official releases simply don't work: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/dltk/updates-dev/1.0/. Am I ok with this procedure?

2) Do you guys really use Bugzilla? I had reported some problems in newsgroup, which iirc were solved, but the related bugs were not even touched.

3) As I've heard 1.0 will be released together with Galileo, I'm wondering about unsolved encondig issues. For example, I have a set of ruby scripts, mots of them are ANSI files. In each file properties page, it stands "file encoding determined by content: UTF-8". But this is *wrong*, that's not the actual file encoding. As I think I have the latest versions from the above dev repo, it seems this problem won't be solved before the official release with Galileo.

Please let me know if here's the right place for these questions. I prefer mailing lists rather than newsgroups.

Hello Renato,

as far as I can tell this is a good place to be.

I recently went to DLTK 1.0M7 (using Galileo 3.5M7, etc. pp.), checking out directly from the CVS repository, as suggested by Alex Panchenko.

Maybe that is an option for you, too?
