FYI, here's another annotation bug for which to potentially cast your
votes. As Walter says, it'll take constant pressure to get the changes
we want and need in the JDT.

Thanks. I've just submitted a bug report of my own, also related to
treating annotations as a first-class citizen:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=149768 .
It's related to your property editor needs in that in order to fix it, I
think they'll need to start treating annotation changes with more
granularity.
It will be a hard fight; in particular, as I understand it the JDT model
has a difficult time modeling annotation values, so there are
deep-seated changes that would have to be made. But it's important to
keep applying pressure.

Subject: JDT Annotation enhancements
Hi Walter,
Here's a collection of bugs that deal with annotations. I'm pretty sure
I've voted for them all. If you have any ideas about how to get more
grassroots action on these, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks,
