Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Papyrus won't be participating in 2023-09 train

Thanks Pauline for sharing the reasons.

I guess Papyrus will handle through its normal support channels that users can't update from 2023-06 to 2023-09 or else they may face the breakage you mention. This is because excluding Papyrus from SimRel won't prevent Check for Updates in Eclipse from updating JDT and Platform to 4.29 but leaving the 6.5 version of Papyrus.

Hello,

We have some issues with the compilation chain and we currently don’t have the manpower to fix it due to the summer break.

We therefore cannot be sure that the 2023-06 binaries would be compatible with the 2023-09 train.

Best regards,

Hi Pauline,

If you don't mind me asking, why disable Papyrus for a single release? Can you ship the same version for 2023-09 as you did for 2023-06? Is there something about Papyrus 6.5.0 that no longer works with the rest 2023-09?

Hello everyone,

We would like to inform you that Papyrus won't be participating in the next 2023-09 release train, we will be returning for the next 2023-12 train.

Best regards,

Pauline
