Thanks for the heads up!  I don't think you need permission from anyone to update your contribution but letting us know after a period without updates is very thoughtful of you.  Updating to the versions that will be released before the end of the 2021-03 cycle is a very good idea and I'm sure is much appreciated by everyone downstream from you!!

as you might remember, we at Xtext/MWE planned to leave Simrel with 2021-03, but we still as we were asked to (fallout of drop out would be bigger). Now we have the new release 2.26.0 in pipeline. (planned release date moved to Feb 28th)
We could update the current release in Simrel if our downstream consumers are willing and find the time to test with the new release.
