The update repositories are well mirrored,
and, I'm sure, are already burning up the bandwidth. 

That is, "check for updates"
will now update to Mars.2 from the built-in repository of 

http://download.eclipse.org/releases/mars/

Fresh EPP packages are also now available
from 

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

this update release available, bringing improved quality and some new features
