Greetings all. For those project teams who are participating in
Neon, here are some important dates.
Dec 18/2015 - Opt-in deadline
Feb 12/2016 - (Tentative) CQ Submission deadline (specify that the
CQ is required for Neon)
May 26/2016 - (Tentative) IP Log submission deadline
June 2/2016 - Review materials due
June 9/2016 - End of Release Review Period
Note that I have confidence in the two IP-related dates, but have
not yet received confirmation from the IP Team (so these dates may
change).
Also note that the opt-in deadline is approaching. AFAICT, the
following projects have not yet stated their intent to participate.
- Ecore Tools
- WindowBuilder
- Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN2)
- Eclipse Gyrex Project
- ATL - A Model Transformation Technology
- BPEL Designer
- BPMN2 Modeler Project
- Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Runtime
- Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Notation
- EMF Query
- EMF Transaction
- EMF Validation
- EMF Diff/Merge
- Eclipse Web Tools Platform Project
- Mylyn
- Amalgamation
- Graphical Modeling Framework (GMF) Tooling
- Eclipse Packaging Project
- Marketplace Client
- Target Management
The process that we have established currently is that project teams
must announce their intent to participate on this list. Please
provide a link to the release record in the PMI and the
participation offset.
I did actually search the mailing list archives for many of these,
but got depressed and stopped looking after about a short while. If
you've already announced and I missed it, please accept my apologies
and restate your intent on this list.
The live list of participating projects is here:
https://projects.eclipse.org/releases/neon
If your project is listed without a version, please ensure that a
release record has been created and let me know. If you're not sure
about the version number, please make a good guess with the
understanding that you can just change the name/number in the record
later and everything will work out (references in the database are
by record, not by any particular value).
FWIW, the reason why we made this explicit opt-in a few years ago
was to ensure that everybody was paying attention. Please prove that
you're paying attention. Feel free to chastise me if you feel that
I've not been paying sufficient attention (e.g. I missed your
statement of intent to participate) :-)
If you have any questions, please ask.
Thanks,
Wayne
