Not that this particularly matters...
You should not host any third-party code at eclipse.org, but you
should plan on contributing the third-party library to Orbit. This
is a simultaneous release requirement.

Do you really need to recompile it. Isn't it enough to just add the
about.html to the file archive?
FWIW, AFAIK Orbit doesn't recompile anything.
