[cross-project-issues-dev] Fwd: Archiving websites for past simultaneous releases

Greetings folks.

I've been going through the eclipse.org website to identify those
resources that need to be moved from CVS to Git (see Bug 359737 [1]).
I've gotten as far as the /callisto page.

I'm not aware of us having developed any policies regarding the long
term maintenance of the release-specific pages. This migration to Git
does, however, present us with an opportunity to do so. At least an
informal policy.

In Bug 359749 [2], I'm suggesting that we archive the page and set up a
redirect to either the current simultaneous release, or to the
Simultaneous Release wiki page [3].

To me, this seems like an obvious thing to do for releases as old as
Callisto. How do we feel about the /helios landing page?

Your thoughts?

Thanks,

Wayne
