Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Hudson Slave server ready for testing

Hi Denis,

Thanks for your continous efforts! I gave it a try but it failed immediately: https://build.eclipse.org/hudson/job/emf-cdo-integration/408/console

Is there more about it than just setting the job config to use build2?

Cheers
/Eike

Greetings,

We've recently provisioned a slave Build server for Hudson, affectionately called "build2". The new server is one of the two IBM x3550 systems that were recently donated by IBM. This slave machine packs dual quad-core Xeon CPUs and a whopping 36G RAM, so it can handle _plenty_.

We do need some folks to test it out, though, so if you'd like to bind your build job to the slave on Hudson, please give it a whirl -- and open bugs against Community/Hudson to report any anomalies. Shifting some jobs from the master to the slave may help alleviate the Hudson failures we've been experiencing on the master instance.

Thanks for your help, and many thanks to IBM for the build hardware!

Denis
