[cross-project-issues-dev] Bugzilla: should users submit stack traces as a comment or an attachment
|
- From: "Eclipse Webmaster (Denis Roy)" <webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I'd need your input for bug http://bugs.eclipse.org/289580
Users that submit bug reports have a guided form that says:
"Any information longer than a few lines, such as a stack trace or
testcase, should be added using the "Add an Attachment" link on the bug, after
it is filed."
Having stack traces inside attachments makes the bug report uncluttered, but it also makes searching much more difficult.
Do you think stack traces/crash dumps should be attached? Please comment/vote on the bug.
