Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Everyone ready for Fall Maintenance Release of Callisto?
|
Actually, all I did was replace the versions in the file from 2.2.0 with
the versions for the current build - 2.2.1.vYYYYMMDDhhmm. Ah, the horrors
of scripted automation. ;-) I guess this will need to be either a manual
update process or a more cumbersome configuration for automation.
Does anyone have a tool to pull the data from site-interim.xml (or
site.xml) and create these ant scripts? If not, I'll write something.
Cheers,

Hi Nick,
I see you changed your URL back to site.xml, instead of site-interim.xml,
but I think it should still be site-interim.xml from what I can see.
Also, in your feature-emf.xml file, you mention a 2.2.1 sdo feature, but as
far as I can tell, its still at the 2.2.0 level.
Am I mising something?
Remember, the litmus test is if you can point your Eclipse updated manager
to the same site-xxxx.xml file named
in the callisto feature-xxxxx.xml file, and successfully update the
features listed there. If not, I can't "pull" them either.
(And, I realize later, we might need to change your site-interim back to
site.xml, but that's ok).
Thought I'd ask here on this list, in case there's some "community
learning" that can take place.
Thanks,
Nick Boldt

Everyone ready for Fall
Please respond to Maintenance Release of
Cross project issues Callisto?
<cross-project-issues-dev@

EMF has updated features-emf.xml for the Callisto update site with
tonight's build - 2.2.1RC2 - which should be our last toward GA next week.

I assume not completely ready, but ... close?
Close enough to update your callisto features-xxx files?
Please update them as soon as you can, and, it doesn't have to
be guarenteed to be the final version ... I just want to generate some
test update sites with close to done versions.
Besure to adjust the URL of where to get them from, if needed, but
otherwise just update to the latest feature versions for your maintenance
release.
(I think GEF is the only one that does not have to? What a solid piece of
code they are!)
Please post your status here if "done" or when you expect you can update
the
files with your final versions.
Thanks,
