I haven't tried "staging"
today, but you're lucky its still there :)
Our bits are in /callisto/releases now
(as of late last night) and last I checked was showing "10 mirrors"
as having picked it up.
So ... you might try a mirror, if eclipse.org
is slow (that's the idea ... right? :)
I just got C/C+ from the Czeck Republic
and it was downright snappy!
I think I'll soon post a little encouraging
"early testing" note to "the community" on the eclipse.foundation
newsgroup ..
So, keep you browsers opened to eclipse.org
infrastructure status! :)
https://dev.eclipse.org/committers/help/status.php
I have yet to see any "hiccups"
... which you might say it pretty limited testing, but, sure didn't take
much last time.
BTW, the "on disk" size (on
eclipse.org) is now
173M
Before it was
317M
So ... the "mirror script"
Richard proposed seems well worth it!
(as it "pulls" exactly what's
needed, instead of the "pattern matching" copying we were doing
last time).
Much thanks all ... I can't wait to
see some great bugs start to show up (hint ... see the two preferences
with exactly the same name -- in M5
they were only similar names :)

RE: [cross-project-issues-dev] Reminder
to sanity check 'staging' today
I’m trying really hard to
test the staging bits, but the link appears to be very slow. Anyone else
seeing this? As a wrench, I’m testing with the Eclipse SDK RC1, not M6,
but that shouldn’t matter, in theory…

Subject: [cross-project-issues-dev] Reminder to sanity check 'staging'
today
As previously discussed, I'm assuming all contributors to Callisto update
site either have or are sanity checking
/callisto/staging
As our Callisto RC0 (M6) delivery.
And, unless I hear otherwise from anyone, this evening I will delete the
current
/callisto/releases
and copy the /staging directory to the /releases directory
Then, tomorrow, someone will announce it "to the world" (after
its had a chance to
propagate to some mirrors).
[So, if not obvious, you'll want to also sanity check 'releases' tomorrow!
:)
Then, on Wednesday, we'll start "staging" the RC1 stack of contributions.
I believe since we are all getting used to the process, and the process
is fairly automated,
we should expect 'staging' to be complete (very late) Friday and a "deployment"
to /releases
shortly after -- unless someone explicitly requests a delay.
Much thanks for getting these bits together. . _______________________________________________
