[cosmos-dev] RE: Cosmos i7 testing - regarding

If the Tomcat server has started then the user does not need to wait. The
user should be able to hit the URL.

I'll reopen bug 210667 and move it to i8 for further investigation since
this bug is not a stop ship problem. Note that I can't reproduce this
problem.

Thanks,

Sheldon

We have done that.

I am still not convinced about
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=210667.

Tomcat server has started and yet asking the user to wait for the Cosmos UI
to load is not appealing. There has to be some message displayed at the
Tomcat console indicating that Cosmos has started after which the user can
hit the URL.

Leaving this issue, I would be updating the bug (
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=210663), saying that it is
verified, but do I have to send out a formal mail flagging the completion
of i7 ?limited? testing again?

Jagmit, this build is stable.

Shivashankari

the latest i7 driver and repeat your testing to ensure that the problem you
reported is resolved ?

Thanks

Endeavour: Limited testing of Cosmos i7 components

Build: Candidate build as given in the Cosmos Downloads section (dated 14th
November 2007)

Effort: 17th November 2007 to 22nd November 2007

Tests Accomplishment:

1. Identified missing components in the given build (domain and
broker)

2. Bettering instructions in
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Installing_i7_Build

3. Validating the install instructions as given in the above page

4. Running the e2e scenario as given in the above wiki page

5. All of the above have been validated on Windows platform only.

6. Created 2 bugs in Bugzilla -
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=210663 and
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=210667 (there is an issue
here, the assignee is displayed as <cthomas@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
without an input at this field from my end. Couldn?t change the name
myself.)

7. Attempted to understand the i7 ERs and created the document that is
attached here. However did not complete validating the ERs themselves.

8. Attempted some Negative tests on the client application caused
errors however dropped reporting them after discussing with Hubert.
