RE: [cosmos-dev] demo test

Fellow Cosmonauts,

I am having some problems running the demo from the code in CVS. Is CVS
up to date, or are y'all running from another code base? When I use the
birt templates from CVS, the reports fail to load under the prepackaged
birt runtime that we initially supplied (I had to move to the Birt 2.2
M4 runtime, which internally claims to be 2.1.2). Also, I find that I
have to add a ton of TPTP jars, etc. to the WEB-INF/lib directory to get
the dataloaders to come up, and once they do, I find that the method
signatures for some of the data accessors don't match the scripts (for
instance, in the Topology report, there's no longer a getTopologies()
method that takes a single argument). Finally, it appears that some of
the locations for files necessary to run the demo are hard coded.

If all of this has been fixed somewhere, please point me to the proper
location so I can quit beating my head against this wall and get back to
packaging a tomcat driver. ;-)

Thanks,
Joel

I've tried the EclipseCon demo, and it looks like it's almost ready. I
was going to implement the statistical API, but Marius has already done
that. Am I missing something or it's really in such a good shape?

Generation of BIRT reports seems a bit slow. Will we be able to speed it
up?
