[corona-dev] Corona Minutes - May 9, 2006

 

Please review the minutes before we post them to the mail list.  Check for ??? this indicates something missing or not quite right

*Eclipse Wiki is ready to go:  http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Corona  anyone with Bugzilla Account can change it

 

*Developer Community

            * This is the first developer conference call. 

            * An emphasis is being placed on using Eclipse communication mediums such as mailing list, newsgroup, and wiki

 

*No Corona Code is currently committed to CVS

*A sequence diagram of the ECF / Collaboration Framework would be useful – Jim Wright to put one together

*Corona users have been set up on ECF Chat Server.  Others can be added but it is a manual process done Scott Lewis.

* Explanation of use of Collaboration Builder in Collaboration Demo Code- Jim

    * used to create collaboration events when project files are changed on client

    * collaboration events are then sent to server

 

* UI Guidelines for Collaboration View

    * initially view will hold a history of collaboration events

    *currently demo has markers showing up as bookmarks ???

    * several other views will be added to the Client Side Collaboration Feature including: TBD

    * will iterate many times on the client views so get something working rather than right

    * will have UI guy review after first couple of iterations

 

* Interaction between Client/Server via ECF

    * Notifications just use simple Collaboration Events

    * Server Requests will use ECF Shared objects

        *  Shared objects can have methods called, and parameters specified

        * ex. Corona.ecf.client  1. create topic 2. join topic
