Re: [cobol-dev] Eclipse and DB2 NT

Also to mention our Kobol is integrated and working with Eclipse as well, www.thekompany.com/products/kobol. Currently you would have to code to the DB2 api directly, but we are close to have that resolved. Our Kobol plug in for Eclipse is only $50

Goran,

Sorry not to reply to you sooner, but I wanted to make sure I had the right
answer.

NetCOBOL for Linux (the COBOL that is integrated with Eclipse, and the one
this forum is about) supports database access through ODBC. Provided that
you have a client driver for the DB2 database, you will be able to access it
using embedded SQL.

If you do not have a Linux client driver for the DB2 database we have a
partner product, created by Trifox, that would also enable this connection.
Let me know if you'd like more details about that product.

Doug Brown
