I finally had a chance to look through this and it seemed a good summary.
My actual comments are few and minor:

In section 2, you say

   "The queries can contain “bound variables”, which can also be used in
   the output name."

   I suggest that they may be used in any part of the output description,
   such as its modifiers and attributes, and not just its name.

In section 3 (why is it that people always argue most about syntax - I
expect it's because it's a description of the world and everyone sees the
world differently). why not use a character better recognized as a
delimiter like ":" rather than "#" which many people view as a kind of
alphabetic that gets mixed with numbers?
