[cdt-dev] CDT 11.1.1 release plan

Hi folks,

There is a small but intrusive bug in 11.1 we just released and we plan to create a bug fix release as soon as possible.

The PR I'll be back porting is the one in the quoted message below.

Should we spin up a 11.1.1 release to include this?

The workaround is undesirable and error-prone, so a bugfix release seems highly desirable to me.
