[cdt-dev] Hammer icon disabled for projects created with the new builder?

I'm used to start my builds with the hammer icon.

For projects created with the new CDT build support (CMake, make, etc) this icon is disabled. 

Is this on purpose, or the new builder requires more work?

I'm not using the Arduino-ish tool bar, and the only way to start the build is via the menu, or right click.
