[cdt-dev] CDT call minutes

Hello,

here are the minutes of today's CDT call.  There was a lot of discussion
and I couldn't capture it all, so please jump in and add what I missed.

Thanks to all the attendees

Of note:
- Next call on January 10th, 2017 (one week later)
- 9.2 pretty much ready for release on Dec 21st
- Linker Script Editor in good shape with a demo at the next call
- Plan to move CDT's target file on master to use Oxygen

*Will do next call on January 10th
*CDT 9.2 RC4 available.  Final release December 21st with Neon.2
*Neon.3 in March with CDT 9.2.1
*CDT 9.3/Oxygen in June 2017
**Can use Oxygen APIs on CDT master branch
**Update target file to Oxygen.  Doug will notify the list first.
*Auto-generation of source features
**Change being attempted. Hoping to post patch soon.
**Will remove all feature-source plugins and have them generated automatically by tycho for all of CDT
**Step in simplifying releng maintenance
*Linker script editor
**Stable version aimed by end of year
**Will have its own feature
**Using XText (will bring new dependencies)
**Aimed for CDT 9.3/Oxygen as a preview release.
**Demo at next CDT call
* Full GDB Console
** Ready for 9.2 release, for Linux with both non-stop and all-stop
**Errors are not shown on new CLI.  Those errors may be coming on MI. To be investigated
*CDT Datasheet was updated to include refactoring section https://wiki.eclipse.org/images/0/09/CDT_Datasheet.pdf
**Will add datasheet to product page
*Doug presented the CDT at Embedded Software Engeneering conference in Germany
**Most attendees were Eclipse users
**Lots of tools on display there, silicon vendors, many showing products based on Eclipse but not saying it is Eclipse
*Marc and Marc-Andre were at Embedded Scandanavia conference
**Also many vendors showing tools based on CDT
**Marc presented Debug to a full room.
*Course at University of Toronto uses CDT to teach
**Jeff can put us in contact to get some input from new users
