Looking at the source code, most of the current changes on xlc focus on making it compliant with the new versions of CDT, ensuring it do not brake the build. Another example is that the current version of xlC is 13, and the latest on supported in the plugin is 11.

No, no one is working on these plug-ins. The last commit from someone who was was 4 years ago.

I had proposed removing them as part of our clean up for CDT 9. I don't think it's fair to us to carry on this software without having any way to test any changes we make to them to keep the builds from breaking, let alone that it's been left to us to even do that.
