[cdt-dev] New naming: Mars.1 and Mars.2 update releases

Hi all,

as per David Williams email [1], from now on SR releases will be called "update releases" and will be referred to as *.1 and *.2, so Mars.1 and Mars.2 this year.

The reason is simply to make it clearer that it is allowed, even encouraged, to include new features in update releases (as CDT has been doing for the last 2 years).
As before, update releases must remain backwards-compatible.
I think it is great to see the Planning Council promote the idea of reducing the amount of time users have to wait for new features.

In that spirit, Monday, I will take the "CDT 8.8/Mars.1 RC1 build"
