[cdt-dev] CDT 8.8 RC1 this monday (feature freeze)

Hi all,

just a reminder that it's feature freeze in this Monday's build (Aug 17th).
The next release will be a maintenance release only (CDT 8.8.1).
The next feature release will be CDT 9.0/Neon in June 2016

I'll create the cdt_8_8 branch on Monday so as to keep master open for features.
Let me know if you prefer I delay that to avoid having to commit fixes to two branches.
