This feature is enabled only when CDT runs on top of Eclipse 4.5 platform. That's why I put it in NewIn87 although the code is present in 8.6. A similar feature is being added to JDT as part of https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=419183.
