[cdt-dev] Small user-visible enhancement in gdb console

Hi,
We plan on introducing a small change that will cause the GDB version to be printed in the gdb console at the start of each debug launch. Please join the discussion in the following bug if you have concerns: http://eclip.se/455408
So, when launching a debug session, the user will see in the gdb console something like:
GNU gdb (GDB) 7.8.1
Copyright (C) 2014 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html>
This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it.

This GDB was configured as "x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu".
