Thanks for the pointer. 

Is there a way i could use this extension point to actually configure Macros
(or Symbols) dynamically based on the inputs provided in the project
creation wizard (not just the toolchain and configuration). At the same time
make sure that this does not get added to -D option and is available for the
user to be able to edit the macro.
