Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 8.3 has been approved

Thanks Doug!

I’m glad the release review overhead wasn’t too bad.

One thing to point out now is that each committer/contributor should change her API baseline to the new 8.3.

We have to be careful not to modify APIs released in 8.3:

Subject: [cdt-dev] CDT 8.3 has been approved

Hey gang,

The release review has been successful and we’ve received permission to release CDT 8.3 for Kepler SR-2, which should happen any minute now. As you know, this is our first attempt at doing a minor release on the Eclipse release train service release cadence, I.e. Every four months. I think it’s been hugely successful and the overhead of doing the release review was manageable. I think we’re clear to continue this cadence and keep bring new features to our users on a timely basis.

Let me know your thoughts and thanks to all our contributors for making this happen.

Cheers,

Doug.

FYI, details of the release review are here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=426271
