I found the problem... I had accidentally pushed to a refs/for/master branch on the main repo rather than the Gerrit repo, and that was messing up Gerrit.  This likely affected everyone... sorry.

Should be fixed now, I was able to push to Gerrit after I blew away the bad branch.
