Not all operating systems have the fonts in place, and there's many icons which have no suitable Unicode character. It's not clear how much use the font would have, or even if it makes sense to have an icon replaced by text.

The font will be explicitly loaded, it does not matter whether the system has it, and it uses reserved unicode characters, so the mapping between unicode and icons is entirely up to font designer.

[Note that at the moment, my primary question is whether including it is unsurmountable legal/copyright problem, the specific technical questions can be solved through usual patch review process.]
