What I really need to do is make sure we don't build it (or any plugin) if it doesn't change. There's some work going on in the Common Build Infrastructure that may help.

Good point though, can see that being a bit painful.

I regularly update CDT and wonder whether it is possible to make the doumentation bundle an extra installation unit. The doc package is ~16MB ...
