Please open a bug describing what you would like to see.

I thought the point was that it would be great to have the steps handy (on a wiki even on the forms we need to fill out) that we need to do to pull the patches out of git so we can attach them.

That's what I'd like to see at least :)

Well this is all fun and stuff, but it doesn’t change the fact that this will not happen any time soon. We have already committed to a very long list of other trivial and simple tasks to be completed this quarter.

Wayne had already pointed this list to several bugs around this topic. If more need to be added please open them so that they can be properly tracked.

Maybe not, but getting a patch file out of a git repo, which is what gerrit fundamentally is, should be trivial, feed it to any tool over any medium you like.

That seems unlikely. The scan tool was provided to the EF by IBM many years ago. I am not sure: (a) what language its written in, (b) if we even have the source code, or (c) if our license permits us to change it.

Is it possible to modify the scanning tool to support patches in Gerrit?
