Re: [cdt-dev] Issues with Disassembly View (Eclipse 3.7.2 Indigo)

Hi Divya,

Can you try the latest CDT to make sure the problem is still there? We had a similar problem with different targets. To fix it I partially reverted the patch from https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=324507.

Thanks,
Mikhail

Hi,

Others have also seen issue #2 and I believe Mikhail has a fix for it.
Please open a bug about it and hopefully Mikhail can post his solution.

I'm not familiar with problem #1 so you are also welcome to open a bug and describe it in detail.
A way to reproduce would be really helpful but if you can't find out, it is still worth opening the bug.

Thanks

Marc

Subject: [cdt-dev] Issues with Disassembly View (Eclipse 3.7.2 Indigo)

Hi All,

I am working with Eclispe 3.7.2 (Indigo), for remote application debugging (MIPS target).

It was seen that the Disassembly view is showing some strange behaviors as we debug the target, as listed below :

1.       Sometimes the disassembly view doesn't update until I click on a stackframe (in case of both single/multi core)

2.       Sometimes the disassembly view commands are seen sent infinitely (-data-disassemble) trying to fetch the same address (mainly seen during Step-In)

But unfortunately I couldn’t say an exact scenario to reproduce these issues.

Could anyone please guide me as how to proceed further.

Thanks In Advance,

Divya
