Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 8.1 for Juno is now available!

There was no C/C++ IDE (as found on the download page) built with 3.8. It was only built with 4.2.

In theory, you can download the 3.8 Eclipse platform (if you can find it) and install CDT 8.1 into it from [2]. I think there are some in the community doing that. CDT should be compatible with both 3.8 and 4.2.

Subject: Re: [cdt-dev] CDT 8.1 for Juno is now available!

Could somebody advice me where to get (or how to build) the CDT product based on 3.8 platform? Firstly, where could I get the release of 3.8 platform? I have found [1], but I am no sure that it is the release (the title "Eclipse 3.8.0 Integration Build: 3.8" confuses me a little bit). But even if I download it and install the CDT from update site [2], I get both JDT and CDT installed. However, I want only CDT with a platform (as it is done in main Eclipse download page).

Thanks,
Anton.

Hey gang,

The day has arrived and Juno has been released on time (yet again :)). As always there are three ways to get your shiny new CDT.
  1. The Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers available from the main Eclipse download page, http://download.eclipse.org
  2. The CDT Juno update site at http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/juno
  3. The CDT Juno master zip at http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/releases/juno/r/cdt-master-8.1.0.zip
I haven't had a chance to update the web site yet but should be able to get to that later today.

Thanks to everyone for your hard work on this release. Tracking the commits I saw a lot of work towards improving quality and simplifying user experience and I know the community is going to greatly appreciate your efforts.

Enjoy! Next up 8.1.1 and work towards Kepler.
Doug.
